Sonic Blossoms Band Bio: Heavy Psych from L.A.
Heavy psych/space rock band straight from the underground | Fuzz-soaked, mind-expanding sounds from Los Angeles, CALIFORNIA
Sonic Blossoms formed in the summer of 2023 when Alan Earwood (The Poppy Seeds) took the helm on lead guitar and vocals, teaming up with Chris Medina (The Night Times, Wyld Gooms, The Sound Reasons) on bass and vocals. The original lineup also featured Mikey Pino on drums and Maddie Montecinos on theremin, creating a raw, swirling, otherworldly sound.
In October 2023, Raymond Duke (The Poppy Seeds) took over on drums, adding a new pulse to the band’s hypnotic grooves. By November, Carlos Bojorquez (The Noir Dalis) joined on rhythm guitar, further expanding the band’s fuzz-soaked textures.
The lineup locked in during late 2024 when Slim stepped in on rhythm guitar, replacing Carlos, and Dean Garami (Soft Cricket) stepped in on bass, replacing Chris. This final incarnation, with Maddie Montecinos continuing to create eerie, cosmic textures on theremin, delivers a heavy, mind-bending sonic assault straight from the underground.
“Sonic Blossoms are a heavy psych/space rock supergroup featuring talent from some of L.A.’s finest under-the-radar bands. Influenced by Spacemen 3, Red Crayola, The Stooges, and primitive 60s psychedelic garage rock, the group uses extreme fuzz and distortion, wah-wah guitar, organ drones, trancelike rhythms, and echoing theremin to project their music into outer dimensions.” — Ghost Tower Records
